FIRST QUARTER
STADIUM ENTRANCE, PICTURES & INTERVIEWS This will be your first impression on the judges, and audience Your stadium entrance needs to include a simple intro routine. This routine should be equivilant to Jackson States "Get Ready" Routine. Just a simple intro to showcase your team, and to get the judges, and crowd talking. After you leave the floor from you Entrance routine, you will then be lead (marching) back towards the photo area, where your team will take pictures. Each Team will get three Poses, Each Head and co-head will take one head shot. Also during this time, we will be doing a short interview with a spokesperson from your team. This person can be head, co-head, team manager, etc., But this person must know the vitals of your team, including but not limited to; a breif history of the teams creation, Teams contact information, teams age range, teams age, plans or expansion, audition process, etc,.
SECOND QUARTER
WELCOME, KNOWLEDGE OF BASIC JSETTE CADENCES, & STAND ROUTINE BATTLE All teams will be placed strategically around the dance floor, as each team prepares for the stand routine battle. Special guest(s) Jsette will lead this competition off by throwing basic Jackson State University 8 and 16 counts. The Guest will throw, The Heads will catch, the co-heads will catch, and then the Line. (Footage of those basic Jsettes count can easily ound on youtube, There is also some footage below) This knowledge of Jackson State Counts will, revolve into each teams Stand routines. This routines must be between 8 - 32 counts. Keep in mind these are stand routines. If a judge feels that a routine couldn't be performed in the stands, the judge will deduct points. As in all Official Jsette Connection Events, the rotation will be counter clockwise. One of the Judges (or myself) will point off the first team in the competition, and the direction of the rotation (for those that may be confused), and the judging will began from that point until the judges feel that adequate counts have been thrown, and they can properly score your team on the content that you provided. After the judges are satisfied with the presented materials, all teams will exit in preperation for the HALF-TIME EVENT. (This exit will also be part of your score, so please showcase your marching style during the exits from each of the categories.)
HALF-TIME
HALF-TIME, YOUR TIME TO SHINE This will be the cream of the crop performance for your team. This will be the routine that the judges will be looking for you to excecute as if your life dependent on it. The Judes sheet or this event alone will include:

This routine will be closely timed, at exactly 4 min, your music will be stopped. PLEASE HAVE YOUR MUSIC PREPARED AND ON CD, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE TRACK IS THE ONLY TRACK ON THE CD TO AVOID CONFUSION WITH WHICH TRACK IS YOUR NUMBER. Between each team there will be a 3 min judges interaction time, where judges finalize all scores.
